Next edition in the summer, 1.-3. August 2025
Sommarljom is a small music festival that annually takes place in Volda, western Norway. The musicians performing at Sommarljom works within a variety of genres and art spheres, like folk- jazz-, classical-, pop-, electronica-, and country music. Having all genres presented on the same stage, the audience will be introduced to a wide variety of high quality music in unique, intimate and picturesque surroundings.
Sommarljom has its roots back to 2011, being a spontaneous initiative from two local musicians; Karen Rosenberg Olsen and Audun Ellingsen. Realizing the town lacked cultural events during the summer break, they arranged a casual and spontaneous concert, with great success. Sommarljom has grown within the following years, and presents in 2025 ten different bands and artists during the festival.
Per 2025, the board consists of Synne Bergem Lia, Paula Holmberg Lewe and August Øyehaug Sellevold.
